Evarcha proszynskii (Marusik & Logunov, 1998)
The work of Kaston, Edwards, and Maddison all suggested that Evarcha falcatais likely assigned to more than one species. In 1997 three species were described, two of which occur in North America. Although there is still some debate about our eastern Evarcha hoyi (see species account in Marusik & Logunov, 1997), the present species Evarcha proszynskii, with its largely western distribution in North America, occurs worldwide across a broad area from Siberia to America.
